Public Notice: Water Hydrant Flushing
The Carlton Public Works Department will be conducting routine fire hydrant flushing on Panther Creek and Meadow Lake Roads on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026. Flushing will take all day.
Hydrant flushing is an important maintenance activity that helps ensure proper operation of fire hydrants, maintains water quality, and removes sediment from the water distribution system.
What residents may notice:
- Temporary discoloration of water (yellow or brown tint)
- Reduced water pressure in some areas
This discoloration is harmless but may stain laundry. If you notice discolored water:
- Run cold water from your tap until it clears
- Avoid doing laundry until water returns to normal
Public Works crews will work efficiently to minimize inconvenience. We appreciate your patience as we perform this essential maintenance to protect public health and safety.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Public Works Department at 5013-852-3815.
