Mission and Vision Statement

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission Statement represents the purpose of the organization and acts to guide its actions. The statement illuminates the organization’s overall goals and guides the Mayor and Council’s decision-making. The statement should also provide the framework within which the City’s strategies are developed and clarify the City government’s purpose.

VISION STATEMENT

The Vision Statement represents the community’s idealistic hopes and dreams and appeals to common values. It uses positive word pictures and images to convey enthusiasm and anticipation about the community’s future. It is intended as a broad statement that encompasses all aspects of the community supporting Carlton’s high quality of life – from a vibrant economy and attractive downtown to pleasant neighborhoods and a healthy natural environment.
