Ensuring Transparency and Growth in Carlton’s Urban Renewal

The City of Carlton is committed to fostering a vibrant and thriving community through responsible urban renewal planning. Each year, we begin the process of developing the Urban Renewal budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Once the Urban Renewal Budget Committee reviews and approves a proposed budget, it moves forward for City Council adoption before June 30.

As part of our commitment to transparency, the Carlton Urban Renewal Agency publishes an annual financial report. This process begins in January, with the report being reviewed and approved by the Urban Renewal Agency before final consideration by the City Council.

To uphold accountability, an independent auditing firm conducts an annual audit of the Carlton Urban Renewal Agency. The final report is then submitted to the State of Oregon, ensuring compliance and financial responsibility in our efforts to enhance our community.
