Whether facing natural disasters or man-made incidents, the city strives to educate the public on what to do in an emergency and assist with emergency preparedness. That's why the city has compiled a list of county and state resources and tips to help citizens be ready for the unexpected.
Stay informed and prioritize your safety by signing up for the emergency notification system of Yamhill County. Signing up allows you to opt-in to receive notifications via phone calls, text messaging or e-mail based on locations you care about. You can choose to receive notifications about events that may affect your home, workplace, family's schools and more. This system will be used to notify you about imminent threats to health and safety as well as informational notifications that affect your locations or work environments.

Community Emergency Response Team - Yamhill County: yccert.org
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
