The City of Carlton is audited every year by an independent auditor. Municipalities are required to annually submit audited financial statements to the Secretary of State under ORS 297.425

The Auditor is chosen by the council through an RFP process and is reviewed every three years. An independent audit promotes transparency and accountability.

  • Fraud
  • Cash Receipts
  • Cash Payments
  • Payroll
  • General Ledger entries
  • Areas of Concern from board members
