The City of Carlton is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Pool Manager to oversee the operations of our outdoor swimming pool during the vibrant summer season. This role offers an incredible opportunity to lead a dedicated team, create memorable experiences, and ensure a safe, fun environment for all.
Your Role: Under the direction of the City Manager, the primary duty of this position is to manage all aspects of pool operations. You will ensure safety and compliance with swimming and lifeguard standards while delivering exceptional customer service to patrons.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Background in swimming pool management, swimming instruction, lifeguarding or related activity. Equivalent combination of education, experience and training which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities will also be considered.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Special Qualifications:
- Required – Lifeguard Training Certification and Water Safety Instructor and/or (2) or more years of swim instructor experience.
- Preferred - Lifeguard Training Instructor Certification, Water Safety Instructor and/or (3) or more years of teaching experience
- Possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License & Pass a background check
Selection Process:
Application rating on experience, certifications, reference check and interview. Hiring is conditional upon a successful criminal background check.
