PUBLIC NOTICE: 10/11/2008 Fire Hydrant Flow Testing & Water Line Flushing

FIRE HYDRANT FLOW TESTING & LINE FLUSHING will occur between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the following fire hydrant street locations:

• Main & Yamhill
• Yamhill & Monroe
• 3rd & Taft
• 3rd & Polk
• Washington & Pine
• Grant & Kutch
• Kutch & Jefferson
• Yamhill & Jefferson
• McKinley & Scott
• Lincoln & Scott
• 7th & Main
• 6th & Main
• Scott & Main
• Cunningham & Main
• Hwy 47 & Taylor
• Hwy 47 & Adams

The testing will take about two (2) hours to complete and will be followed by line flushing for the rest of the day.   Barricades with signage will be placed at the flushing locations.

Ensuring adequate water flow to fire hydrants is a vital process and one of our highest priorities for safeguarding our citizens in the event of a fire. Occasionally, water pressure may decrease in areas surrounding the line flushing and some water discoloration may occur after.  Please run the water until it clears.  The City also understands and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this may cause in your home or business.
