NEWS RELEASE- Carlton Pool Closure

For Immediate Release:

Carlton, Oregon – August 30th, 2021 –

The City of Carlton has been made aware that a pool patron has tested positive for COVID-19. Lifeguards have been utilizing safety protocols of wearing masks, keeping appropriate distance, and routinely sanitizing. We are currently conducting contact tracing for other patrons who were in the same swim session.

The pool was scheduled to close for the season on Sunday, September 5, 2021. However, out of concern for the health and safety of the community that we serve, and our employees, we are closing the Carlton pool immediately.
We encourage everyone to remain diligent and continue to do their part to limit the spread of COVID-19.
