Description

The City of Carlton’s wastewater collection system is one of the most essential public services we provide, playing a vital role in protecting both public health and the environment.

To address aging infrastructure and improve system reliability, the City pursued federal assistance to replace deteriorating sewer lines. With the support of our U.S. Senators and Representatives, Carlton was awarded $500,000 in Congressionally Directed Spending for the federal fiscal year 2024.

This grant, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), will help fund critical improvements. The City is currently completing the required pre-construction steps to move the project forward.
