17.104.010 Applicability.

This chapter is applicable to all sites or structures listed in the City of Carlton, Comprehensive Land Use Plan as a historic or cultural resource. (Ord. 619, 2003)

17.104.020 Review procedures.

A. Upon receipt of a land use application or demolition permit a determination shall be made if the site has historical significance by being listed as a historic or cultural resource. If the site is of historical significance the planning commission shall conduct a site design review and consider the following:

1. The state of repair of the building and cost of restoration or repair;

2. The character of the neighborhood;

3. Other factors the planning commission feels appropriate.

B. Following review and hearing, the planning commission shall make a recommendation for approval, approval with mitigation, or denial of the land use action. (Ord. 619, 2003)

17.104.030 Preservation of historical record.

If a site with historical significance is to be demolished or significantly altered, the planning commission may direct that an acceptable detailed pictorial and graphic record be prepared prior to demolition or alteration. (Ord. 619, 2003)
